Reed’s, Inc. (REED) has announced that the company’s full line of six all-natural brewed ginger ales have been certified kosher by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. This beverage line, which includes Original, Premium, Extra, Spiced Apple, Raspberry, and Cherry flavors, successfully passed a seven step certification process; thus, the products will begin carrying the OU Kosher symbol immediately.
Chris Reed, Founder and CEO of Reed, stated, “The kosher symbol stands for a level of quality and purity that has always been important to Reed’s and our customers. “ He added, “We are happy to make it official with the OU certification.”
Today, there are approximately 10.5 million kosher consumers within the United States. Furthermore, statistical measures have shown that 21 percent of Americans buy kosher products. As a result, the dollar value of the kosher market is estimated at approximately $10 billion, and the dollar value of kosher goods produced in the U.S. is $175 billion.
