Raven Biofuels International Corp. (RVBF.OB) Makes Positive Progress Toward 100 Million Gallon Biomass Refining Goal

Many industrial projects require long lead times and massive amounts of cash. Following and pushing them through to the finish is often taxing and frustrating. If a company can find and retain a group of experienced managers to push through to the end, they will find that the rewards are large and profitable.

Raven Biofuels International Corp., a development stage biomass-products refiner, is working to bring waste-product refinery capacity online. The company is currently in talks to secure financing and merge with companies oriented toward developing leading edge bio-mass gasoline products. By all accounts, the company is making positive progress in these two areas.

The ultimate short term-five year goal of the company is refining 100 million gallons of biofuel gasoline. To achieve these goals the company has engaged in merger talks with Pure Energy Inc. and formed a partnership with Spectrum Energy, a British Columbia company familiar with cellulose based biofuels. The linkage of these companies will uniquely position Raven Biofuels in the renewable energy marketplace as it uses Pure Energy’s patents and Spectrum Energy’s good will in the forests of British Columbia. It is, however, Pure Energy’s worldwide patent rights to cellulose refining that could make the company very profitable, if it can secure financing.

Although the company is still seeking funding, it is finding opportunity in many sectors and forms. The recently passed Farm Bill will aid the company with approximately $980 million in loan guarantees while recently retained Raymond James is also finding some successes. If the company can take advantage of these guarantees and potential opportunities, it should be pushed well along in its development efforts. Given the shortage of refinery capacity in the US and the need for alternative fuels, Raven Biofuels International appears to be well within the lead time necessary to accomplish its short term goals and revenue projections.
