Natural resources company Mabwe Minerals, a subsidiary of Raptor Resources Holdings, recently announced it has launched a new Web site in conjunction with the release of the first video to chronologically track developments at Dodge Mine, owned by the Mabwe Minerals Zimbabwe Limited (Mabwe-Z) affiliate, and in conjunction with the first edition of the MabweMessage Newsletter.
The MabweMessage Newsletter will keep shareholders updated about ongoing developments at Dodge Mine as the minority owned WGB Kinsey & Company continues building long-term infrastructure there, including expanding employee housing, management offices and roadways, and as WGB Kinsey & Company continues barite production at the mine. With assistance from Steinbock Minerals, Mabwe-Z has established different grades of barite types to address multiple market applications for barite, ranging from API-grade barite to support oil and gas drilling to bright white barite to support the paint industry.
As part of its lot qualification process, Mabwe-Z will send out biweekly lots of barite, sorted by grade type, to various test labs under the supervision of Steinbock Minerals, the company’s distributor and sales arm. The accumulated multiple lots of test data will be used to set specification sheets for the different grades of barite. When the specification sheets have been completed (sometime during the fourth quarter of 2013), lot qualification is anticipated to commence shortly thereafter as the company’s strategic partners network with their barite customer base to set up initial shipments for final customer approval.
