PureSpectrum, Inc., a progressive lighting company dedicated to researching and developing innovations in lighting, recently announced the appointment of Peter Weller as the company’s new vice president of sales. Mr. Weller brings more than 20 years of industry experience in engineering, business development, marketing and sales.
Mr. Weller began his career as an engineer with GTE Sylvania and has served as the vice president of the commercial and industrial sales division and general manager of a fixture brand he helped to develop for lighting giant TCP, Inc. He has also served in executive roles for established global lighting manufacturers with conventional product lines as well as innovative developmental companies introducing new technologies. Mr. Weller earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of New Hampshire and also holds two lighting patents.
PureSpectrum recently completed product development efforts on a full line of dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) and is in the process of building its inventory of bulbs in multiple styles and wattages. Mr. Weller’s experience with both established manufacturers and leading edge start-up companies will enable PureSpectrum to take advantage of the best practices of both environments.
