Today before the opening bell, Puget Technologies announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Weistek USA, will be sending a team of engineers to begin working with the Weistek engineering and manufacturing teams in China. The trip is part of a coordinated step in preparation for the domestic distribution of the award-winning IdeaWerk 3D “prosumer” printer. Puget’s team will also discuss promising product roadmap initiatives and strategies with company leaders to address future opportunities.

Puget recently held the first in a series of interactions with its group of brand ambassadors for the IdeaWerk 3D printers and will use this feedback as part of the collaboration with the team in China.

“As we look toward to formalizing our corporate relationship, we are working closely with the Weistek leadership to refine and enhance the consumer experience with the IdeaWerk line of 3D printers,” stated President and CEO of Puget Technologies Ron Leyland, noting that Puget is uniquely positioned with its cross industry experience to best understand the consumer demands in the retail setting. “This new product line will be a catalyst for our business and allow for future expansion to meet the growing demand in the 3D space.”

According to today’s press release, the Weistek USA engineers will be discussing sustainable packaging solutions, software configurations for remote diagnostics, quality controls, and customer support processes for the US market. This comes on the heels of Weistek conducting these conversations with distribution centers in European, Middle Eastern, African, and Pan-Asian markets.

The Weistek USA team is making preparations for operational and product logistics in preparation for the final agreement between the parties as expected later this month.
