Puget Technologies, Inc. (PUGE) Files for Trademarks on Phone App, Software Bundle for 3D Printing

Puget Technologies, focused on acquiring, developing, and selling cutting-edge consumer-oriented products ready for rapid commercialization, has filed with the U.S. Patent and Trade Office for trademarks related to its SnapSearch℠ phone app and PrintSnaptic℠ platform.

Aligned with high, industry-wide expectations for the 3D printing market, Puget is preparing to release its first high-performance 3D printer and supporting technologies, such as SnapSearch and PrintSnaptic, for the U.S. consumer market.

“As the 3D printing industry continues to develop, consumers will progress from merely being curious about the technology to finding reasons to buy,” Puget president and CEO Ron Leyland stated in the news release. “We are working hard to offer an attractive price point, great functionality and applications to attract these first time buyers.”

The SnapSearch smart phone app allows the user to take a picture of an image or scan a UPC symbol to search its database of 3D source files, making royalty-free and licensed product images more widely available.

The PrintSnaptic software bundle allows the user the ability to upload and download images for 3D printing. With the ability to see and edit images right on the screen, users can take 3D creativity to a new level.

3D printing will enable the user to produce a variety of items such as jewelry, small domestic goods, and other unique items at home. Puget said it plans to leverage rapidly growing interest in personal 3D printing to make its products available to the average consumer at an attractive price.
