Power-One, Inc. (PWER) Wins Infringement Lawsuit against Digital Power

Power-One, Inc. (PWER) announced that a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas has upheld the validity of the company’s case against Artesyn Technology and Astec America. This case was focused on Power-One’s ‘Power-One Z-One’ technology, as Power felt that this particular product’s patents were infringed on by both Artesyn Technologies and Astec America.

This verdict, in favor of Power-One, hinged on a number of important factors that both companies felt were prevalent. However, the jury, after deliberating for more then 3 days, found that both of the asserted patents were in fact infringed on by Artesyn Technologies.

Power-One is a leading designer and manufacturer of power conversion products.
