PetroSun announced that the demonstration of their unique algae-to-biodiesel process will be expanded because of the many requests. The Company plans to schedule future events during the month of September to accommodate all the requests for invitations.
Microalgae has attracted attention to the company as it is a different type of oil crop which holds great promise for the future. Plants such as soybeans and sunflowers produce oil, but they require intensive management and may not be able to sustain in the long term due to rising development and production costs.
Microalgae has been proven to be capable of producing over 30 times more oil per acre then corn and soybean crops. There is great potential as it contains no sulfur, is non-toxic, and is highly biodegradable.
