Perf Go Green Holdings Inc. (PGOG.OB) Raises Additional $3 Million in Second Round Financing

In the world of recycled products, getting the product into the consumers’ hands is the main challenge. Developing the product, addressing the recycling issue and finding funding are all large impediments to getting a solid but expensive idea to market. If, however, a company can address their costs before they get to market, profit will naturally flow as consumers take up the eco-friendly banner.

Perf Go Green Holdings Inc., an early stage biodegradable plastic products manufacturer/marketer, works to manufacture and market biodegradable plastic products through retail and mass merchant channels. The company has commitments to distribute through regional markets, Amazon.com and drugstore.com.

The company’s primary mission is to displace typical plastic products with biodegradable plastic products that take less time to degrade within the consumer waste stream. Its plastic products are said to require 12-24 months to degrade, with no remaining residue, while typical plastic products require hundreds of years to degrade within the same environment. The company currently offers six biodegradable products ranging from home and commercial trash/yard bags to plastic sheeting. Future product introductions are likely as the company’s plastic products are food-contact compliant.

For the most part, the company has found a certain success in raising capital for the manufacture and marketing of its products ($8 million to date.) The question that most recycled products manufacturers face has yet to be answered; can the company’s price points match or better existing commercial products already entrenched in the country’s mass outlet stores? As Perf Go Green is just getting its products to market, the answer is as yet unknown. Many recycled products have taken off on their own merits without relying on their recycled content as a marketing component. Generally, this was due to price points being in line with consumer expectations. With some luck, Perf Go Green will be able to catch the eye of today’s more cost-conscious shopper and recycle its profits into new, environmentally sound products.
