OTCPicks Featured Company: Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (HISU.PK) Sends Application to U.S. General Services Administration

Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (OTC: HISU) filed an application on April 24, 2008 to have their products added to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) schedule. The application will be reviewed and usually takes between four to six weeks for a notification of approval. The company has been working diligently with a business development specialist at the North Carolina Military Business Center in order to complete the application properly. At the closing of Monday’s trading, Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. was up 68.18%.

GSA uses a centralized delivery system of products and services to the federal government. Managing over one-fourth of the government’s total procurement dollars, GSA was founded in 1949 and plays an active role in the management of $500 billion in federal assets. Government agencies can buy goods and services by browsing the GSA schedule. The benefit of this is that it allows procurement managers from various government agencies to explore certain agreements and make purchases already knowing that all legal obligations have been analyzed by GSA. After the application has been approved by the GSA, HISS will be one of only eight vendors listed on the GSA schedule for fleet/asset management solutions.

“We feel confident that we will receive approval from GSA within the standard time frame. Having our products listed on the GSA Schedule will not only expand our customer reach, but provide a more convenient, cost effective venue for customers to order our products through, which will, in turn, generate more revenue for the Company,” stated Alex Ensley, VP of Logistics of Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc.

Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (HISS) creates and markets security and locations based service products that are designed for various personal and commercial applications. Their integrated security systems can be found in airports, train stations, military and government facilities, school districts, commercial buildings, law enforcement agencies, and fleet management.
