Copper King Mining Corporation has been in the news several times already this year. On January 7th they announced the signature of the finalized agreement to transfer ownership of 62 mining claims over to the Copper King Mining Corporation. These 62 claims total nearly 1,100 acres of land and the company was issued title insurance on the deeds that entitle them to both the land and minerals.
Speaking of the acquisition President of Copper King, Dwaine Allred, said “This is a great day for our company, the simple fact that the title to these claims is now transferred to us and insured is a great asset to Copper King. The value of this area has long been overlooked, and we are excited to be the ones to rediscover it. This area was originally mined in the late 1800s and produced considerable gold. The copper was just left as most people were interested in gold back in those days. This area just sort of fell through the cracks in the 20th century, and we were lucky enough to get it.”
More recently the company has been in the headlines after signing a letter of intent to purchase 100% of Western Utah Copper Company. The Milford, Utah Company holds approximately 90,000 acres of mining claims and the heavy equipment and processing mill necessary to mine them. Last week the company also announced the opening of a preliminary website, www.thecopperkings.com, which contains limited media about the company and ongoing projects. Photos of the Drum Mountain property and soon full length videos with sound will be added to the site. The company launched the site early due to demand from investors and will be improving and upgrading as time goes on.
The company, which began trading under the name of Copper King Mining on December 19, 2007, is run by President Dwaine Allred. Allred, who was persuaded out of retirement to run the company, brings years of business knowledge and experience to the company. Allred specialized in real estate development for years, which has already proved to be a valuable asset to the company as it looks to acquire both assets and investors for its growing portfolio.
