OMVS today said it is advancing negotiations regarding a joint-venture agreement with JetSet Car Service, the first luxury transportation company to offer services on OMVS’ platform.
JetSet Car Service is a Houston-based luxury chauffeured car service with aggressive expansion goals, which OMVS sees as highly synergistic with its own online strategy.
The two parties are currently negotiating a definitive agreement under which JetSet would offer top-flight services through the portal in exchange for OMVS’ online marketing expertise.
“In particular, we plan to target business travelers with this portal now in development,” OMVS CEO Robert Wilson stated in the press release. “JetSet offers precisely the kind of outstanding service we need to build our reputation, and we’re excited about partnering with them to extend that service to a much larger pool of travelers.”
OMVS said it expects to finalize the agreement in the near future, and says that this potential partnership will be the first of many more similar business relationships.
OMVS’ broader mission is to develop a comprehensive online platform that will allow business executives and other niche travel segments to book transport using a similar business model as highly successful websites offering unsold hotel rooms and other travel options. The portal will offer diverse and exclusive transportation and shipping options in a single competitive marketplace, benefitting both service providers and consumers.
