On the Move Systems, a fast-growing provider of online travel options, announced that it is in negotiations with its joint venture partner, The Naples Connection, to offer weekly travel deals to customers through direct email marketing. If an agreement were reached, the deals would be offered exclusively to On the Move Systems’ subscriber network via email.
The Naples Connection is a travel agency that provides online deals on travel, lodging, and luxury travel service options. Just last October, On the Move Systems signed an agreement with the company to offer the company’s services through On the Move Systems’ online travel portal in exchange for some revenues. On the Move Systems’ ISTx portal is currently in development and is scheduled to be up-and-running sometime in 2014.
“In discussing ways to begin generating joint revenues, e-mail keeps coming up,” said OMVS CEO Robert Wilson. “E-mail marketing has the highest return on investment on the Web, and we think it’s time to move forward with expanding our subscriber base ahead of the portal site launch by offering amazing deals on cruises, hotels, airfare and more.”
According to the travel industry research firm PhoCusWright, a third of all global travel sales were projected to be booked online. By offering unique travel and transportation options unlike any found anywhere, On the Move Systems hopes to be a strong competitor in the $300 billion online travel marketplace.
