On the Move Systems Corp. (OMVS) Explores Adding Oilfield Transportation Options to Portal

On the Move Systems, an online transportation options provider, today announces it is considering adding oilfield trucking to its online portal of soon-to-be-made-available transportation options. The company notes that demand for oilfield trucking is at all-time high levels, indicating room for profit potential.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s estimates, total domestic oil production is projected to increase by almost one million barrels daily over 2012’s total. That growth is expected to continue. With the upswing in domestic oil production comes increased demand for transportation for oil products, too. According to the Abilene Reporter-News, about 66,000 more trucks were needed in 2012 for transportation than in 2011. On the Move notes that experienced drivers are needed for transportation to and from more isolated areas such as West Texas, opening up a new market of possibilities for which the company to enter and build profitable operations. For illustration, oilfield operations such as shale extraction requires significant amounts of water and sand to be hauled to wells.

On the Move Systems Corp. is building a comprehensive online portal for transportation that will include purchasing options for charter flights, luxury car services, intermodal transportation, pet shipping, and many other niche offerings. This new portal is expected to come online next year. The company is making inroads with new partnerships or deals for the online portal, too. Just last week the company acquired a stake in a luxury transportation company and finalized its first revenue sharing partnership. With the formation of such strategic partnerships, On the Move Systems says it will be positioned to compete with well established competitors in the online travel market.
