OMVS Poised for Strong Growth as Logistics Economy Picks Up Steam

Leading supply-chain experts predict the logistics industry could see strong growth in the second half of 2015, and companies involved in trucking and related services, such as On the Move Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: OMVS), are ready to take advantage of the improving economic climate.

OMVS’ groundbreaking “Uber for trucking” platform, now under development, is designed to put independent drivers and brokers together for efficient booking and quick turnaround on delivery.

According to the State of Logistics Report Quarterly Update, published by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and Penske Logistics, 2014 was a banner year for the industry. And the prospects for 2015 look just as promising.

The report attributes its rosy outlook to several factors, including rising consumer confidence, an increase in the nation’s GDP (Gross Domestic Product), rising imports and an end to a longshoreman’s strike. These factors have led to an improved economic climate in the trucking industry, a climate these experts contend will build momentum during the remainder of the year.

“We’re ready to aggressively pursue all opportunities in today’s evolving marketplace,” said OMVS CEO Robert Wilson. “Thanks to the improving economy, trucking companies, carriers, freight companies and others in the logistics business have shown great interest in recent months in our innovative and ground-breaking platforms.

“This ‘sharing economy’ has proven successful with outfits such as Uber and our business model looks to similarly be able to connect carriers with local freight operators,” Wilson said. “This recent report is more welcome news that the trucking industry is ready for a product launch of this magnitude.”
