OBJ Enterprises today reported that its game Bluff Wars saw a significant spike in its number of installs on mobile devices across the globe, as it had anticipated it would. During the holiday season in 2013, Bluff Wars achieved nearly 100,000 total installs across Apple and Android devices. OBJ Enterprises says it will continue to develop and market this game title in conjunction with efforts from its partner FangTooth Studios.
“We expect Bluff Wars to be a big money-maker for our company in 2014,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “We’re planning a big marketing push to raise awareness and downloads to help make this game the next Words With Friends–a pop culture phenomenon.”
Notably, during December 2013 celebrity Mike Tyson sent out a tweet about Bluff Wars to his 4 million followers. The mobile game was OBJ Enterprises’ first title to earn the company revenues in 2013, due to its $1.99 download price and in-game “Bluff Bucks” purchasing system for greater gaming appeal. OBJ Enterprises points to this as a strong early success for its efforts to develop a strong presence in the global mobile apps market, which generates a sizable $26 billion per year.
Working through its gaming division, Obscene Interactive, OBJ Enterprises seeks to develop unique mobile apps that are designed for usage across a wide variety of mobile device platforms.
