Yesterday, Nitro Petroleum Inc. reported that the Mason Burns lease engineering and economic feasibility study has been completed. The Company is the operator on this property. They will perform a remedial fracture (Frac) in the Viola Limestone formation. The Viola Limestone is an extremely prolific reservoir in production.
Currently, the Mason Burns well is producing from the upper and lower intervals of the First Bromide formation. The well is generating excellent production recoveries. Nitro Petroleum, Inc. will be ready when the First Bromide enters its secondary stage of production. It is incumbent that the new zone undergoes exploration and testing. Nitro Petroleum, Inc. will soon advise their shareholders on the upcoming results.
In addition, last Friday, Nitro Petroleum Inc. reported that the Ward-McNeil well located in Section 27, T3N, R1W, Garvin County, Oklahoma is now ready for a fracture treatment. The Company is the Operator on this project. Their Geologist identified a potential pay zone in the Viola Limestone formation.
Previously, the well had undergone perforation and produced oil in the Lower Layton Sand sequence and the Viola Detrital. Nitro Petroleum believes that this well is in the same favorable position as the Ward-McNeil # 1 as this well had significant production from Viola Limestone just to the North West. The Company is scheduling services and they should be completed within approximately 30 days.
