Neohydro Technologies Corp. (NHYT.OB) Wins Praise for Development Of Advanced Water Treatment System

Neohydro Technologies Corp. (NHYT.OB), Houston based developer of a revolutionary electrolysis system for treating water, has been named one of the top ten most promising Energy & Clean Technology companies at the 6th Annual Rice Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship Energy & Clean Technology Venture Forum in Houston. The forum had an impressive audience of more than 600 investors, venture capitalists, industry representatives, business leaders, and entrepreneurs.

Rice Alliance Managing Director Brad Burke, stated, “Every year the quality of companies improves. Many of the companies at this year’s event have developed prototypes, obtained proven results and are on their second round of funding. This makes them more appealing to investors, who have also expressed appreciation for the quality of the companies.”

Neohydro impressed attendees with a presentation of their proprietary high-voltage water processing technology. The unique process allows users to transform the most polluted waste water, such as that collected during oil and gas drilling, into water usable in industrial and agricultural applications, including irrigation. In addition, Neohydro’s technology can process regular waste water into a sterilant, killing harmful pathogens. The portable system uses high-voltage DC current, along with the water itself, to oxidize and kill bacteria, virus, fungi, mold, and other pathogens. The process also neutralizes arsenic and most metals and gases, and is seen as an environmentally sound way to alleviate the world’s growing water supply crisis and a cost-effective solution to industrial waste water management.

Dean Themy, CEO of Neohydro said, “I am very honored and pleased that our company has been recognized by such a prestigious group of individuals and corporations. Rice University is well-known as a top entrepreneurial university. Most recently, the Princeton Review named Rice University among the top schools in America for development of entrepreneurial companies. The audience included several CEO’s of fortune 100 companies, some of the finest venture firms, and many academics from around the world. This recognition further propels Neohydro by endorsing our technology and business plan.”
