NB Design and Licensing (NBDL.PK) Becomes Organic Alliance, Inc. (ORGC.PK) – Effective Today

Today marked the commencement of trading on Organic Alliance, Inc., formerly known as NB Design and Licensing. With the new name comes a new corporate objective; the filling of a growing void in the organic food supply industry.

Led by organic farming veteran Tom Morrison, the company has taken notice of the growing demand for high-quality organic produce from a qualified source. Large conglomerates such as Costco, Safeway, Kraft, and Sara Lee are found struggling for a reliable supply of organic goods to be sold as end-product, as well as ingredients for pre-prepared organic dishes. As a partial owner of one of the world’s largest organic farming operations of the late nineties, and backed by a list of corporate officials that reads like a “who’s who” of grocery experts, Tom Morrison believes his company can become the primary supplier of organic produce to these corporations.

The company has a sourcing contract in place with a consortium of organic farmers led by Canada’s Birkden Management, Inc., which will provide an adequate supply of product to allow Organic Alliance to achieve its lofty goal. An executive sales and marketing office in Bakersfield, CA – a national farming center – will be the base of operations from which the company can lead its charge.

As compared to traditional product, the organic food industry has only been thriving for a relatively short period of time, and yet, as a whole, it saw annual sales of around $19 billion in 2007.
