NAVTEQ, Inc (NYSE:NVT), a leading provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation systems, announced that NavStar Technologies, Inc., a technology development company, will power its new Voice Navigator product with NAVTEQ’s maps. Each quarter, NavStar will upload and integrate freshly updated NAVTEQ data maps, providing all users with optimal routing information.
The Voice Navigator is a leading navigation product that directly interfaces with a wireless phone to create a hands and eyes free navigation system. Thus, turn-by-turn directions will be delivered to the user without diverting the driver’s attention from the road.
