National Health Partners, Inc. (NHPR.OB) Posts 73% Year-over-Year Increase in Revenue for Q1 2008

National Health Partners, Inc. (NHPR.OB), a leading provider of unique discount healthcare membership programs, recently announced a 73% year-over-year increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2008. Additionally, the company reaffirmed its revenue forecast of $12 million to $15 million for 2008, with the majority of revenue being recognized during the second half of the year due to recent and newly signed business agreements.

National Health Partners is a national healthcare savings organization that provides discount healthcare membership programs to uninsured and underinsured people through a national healthcare savings network called CARExpress. The majority of National Health Partners’ sales are generated by affinity groups, such as unions, associations, chambers of commerce and small business associations, and the company has secured new business agreements with several of these groups due to the overwhelming demand for its programs.

Revenue for the fiscal quarter ending on March 31, 2008 increased to approximately $820,000 up from $474,022 posted in the fourth quarter of 2007. The company attributes its strong sequential growth in quarterly revenue to a sharp increase in sales of its CARExpress health discount programs and CARExpress Plus membership programs. The full results for the first quarter of 2008 will be made available when the company files its quarterly report with the Securities and Exchange Commission later this month.
