Nascent Wine Company, Inc., the only nationwide distributor of imported food and beverage products in Mexico, announced today that they were an official sponsor of the Cesar Salad record breaking attempt held in Tijuana, Mexico.
The Cesar salad, weighing in at over 6,000 pounds, broke the Guinness World Record for the largest Cesar Salad in the world. There were over 300 chefs and even more culinary students on staff to aid in the record breaking efforts.
The event, held last Saturday, came about to commemorate the history of the Cesar Salad, which was invented in the city of Tijuana. The salad was created during the 1920’s on Tijuana’s main street called ‘Avenida Revolution’ at the Cesar’s restaurant.
Sandro Piancone, CEO of Nascent stated, ‘We are excited to participate with our customer’s some of which are restaurateurs in such a fun event that is really about celebrating the city, people and culture of Tijuana. He added, ‘We sponsored the event by donating food products from our Cora line that includes extra virgin olive oil and shredded parmesan cheese imported from Italy.”
