Nascent has been growing aggressively as it consistently enters new distribution agreements. They are well established and are the only distributor authorized to distribute Miller Beer in the Baja California region of Mexico. They have also acquired Piancone Group International, which is a major food distributor.
There is much opportunity for them in Mexico as the food service industry exceeds $46 billion in sales each year. There are over 25,000 small distributors sharing these profits, causing fragmentation. Nascent plans to consolidate these companies through acquisitions.
Other companies such as Sysco, Inc. and U.S. Foodservice, Inc. have had great success in the United States by using this business strategy.
