Atlanta based myPhotopipe.com,Inc.(MPCC:OTC) unveiled a new initiative to significantly expand its product offerings in the photo greeting card segment of the $7.5 billion greeting card market. The company expects to more than double the number of products offered at its online website. The photo greeting card market has more than doubled in the last two years.
myPhotopipe.com is a web-based online provider of digital photo processing, photo finishing, photo sharing, and other related services. The company has positioned itself as one of the fastest-growing providers of digital photography services for professionals and serious amateurs. This product expansion is squarely aimed at the serious amateur. Owners of high-end digital cameras are almost twice as likely to make photo greeting cards as owners of lower resolution cameras. According to data for the 4th quarter of 2007, demand for the higher resolution cameras grew at an annualized rate of 977%.
myPhotopipe.com does seem to be riding this wave as they cater to the serious digital photographer. The company completely re-designed their website recently to sharpen their focus on digital imaging and high quality prints. In March, the first full month after the re-launch of the website, the company achieved record traffic, with more than 3 million hits – a 29% increase from February and almost double the hits from March 2007.
