New to the Tri-State area’s Rhythmic Top 40 scene, Pulse 87 has strategically employed several of the region’s top DJs in order to make its presence felt in the air waves of New York radio.
Pulse 87 will plot its cutting-edge programming around a reincarnation of the immensely popular Star & Buc Wild Morning Show. This personality duo came to be heralded as leaders in America’s number one radio market in 2000 when their Hot 97 Morning Drive became the first morning show to topple Howard Stern’s best ratings in more than ten years. 2004 marked a move to the pair’s Clear Channel launch on Power 105, where they managed to top their previous ratings.
With number one ratings on two of New York’s most popular radio stations to their credit, Star & Buc Wild are now calling Pulse 87 home. This serves to add significantly to the growing credibility of the station. Gina Golden V.P. of sales stated, “Major brands are starting to see the exposure and value of advertising on Pulse 87. I feel that many more major brands will be coming on board in the near future.”
