Mega Media Group, Inc. (MMDA.OB) Heats Up With the Summer Months

Mega Media Group, Inc. (MMDA.OB) has been working diligently on marketing their subsidiary, Pulse 87 FM, during the summer months. The company’s website, www.pulse87.com, launched back in May, specifically targets the demographic of 18-49 year olds. The site was created to allow listeners receive the latest and most intriguing entertainment news and updates on events, as well as listen to live broadcasts and send in music requests. The company believed a website to be a pivotal move in gaining more consumers since many of them use computers daily, and having access to the station through the web will only increase the station’s listener-base.

During the summer months Mega Media began to create new ways to expand on their listeners’ base. They participated in community events and on June 1st, Pulse 87 was the exclusive radio station for the 5th Avenue Festival held in Brooklyn, NY. The station brought their radio personalities to the stage to meet listeners and to host the event, which included star performances by artists and celebrities. The estimated attendance for the annual event was estimated to be over 150,000 people.

Chip Cafiero, event manager for the 5th Avenue Festival, said, “We are very excited that Pulse 87 is starting to see increases in audience listening and recognition in our market. As a result of this growing popularity we are starting to see more recognized brands advertise on the station.”

“We are very excited that Pulse 87 is starting to see increases in audience listening and recognition in our market. As a result of this growing popularity we are starting to see more recognized brands advertise on the station,” commented Alex Shvarts, CEO of Mega Media. “Festivals and events such as the 5th Avenue Festival increase listener ratings and attract sponsorship dollars from larger brands looking for local exposure; sponsorship revenue is a substantial revenue stream for Radio Stations which our marketing and sales team is tapping into.”

As the new website continues to bring in new listeners, Pulse 87 FM intends on exposing their customers to some of the most popular DJ’s and producers in the business. Their new lineup of weekly shows seems to be creating a buzz throughout the New York City area and is bringing in additional listeners every day. Mega Media has recently completed negotiations with several major brands including Jive Records, Ultra Records, NY Minute Group, Sobe Life Water Brand, Paragon Honda, and Major Auto World, as well as other local advertisers.

The latest estimates show that Pulse 87 has a weekly audience of over 450,000 listeners, with the website consisting of over 60,000 visits, 19 million hits, and over 125,000 Live Streaming Sessions following the major re-launch of the site in May. This fall New York will be introduced to the launching of the Arbitron personal people meter (PPM) system. This system tracks consumer exposure to media and entertainment by recording inaudible codes that are embedded into a broadcast signal. Pulse 87 is looking forward to the launch of the PPM system to that they can receive better statistics of the footprint it has on the New York region.
