MAX Resource Corp. announced that it has initiated a core-drilling program to gauge the mineral potential at the Table Top Project in Humboldt County, Nevada. The Table Top Project is comprised of 3,420 acres, or 171 claims, near the town of Winnemucca.
MAX Resource Corp. said that the Table Top project is located in the Kings River Rift, a geological formation that runs through the area. Several producing gold mines are in this geological trend, including the Sleeper Canyon Mine and the Sandman Mine.
Clancy Wendt, an exploration executive at MAX Resource Corp. said, “The trenching and drilling program was determined after having reviewed aerial photos, geology maps, geochemical assay maps, and geophysics, as well as data from the limited drilling conducted to date on the property by prior operators…We feel that the Table Top area is geologically favorable for the discovery of a medium-sized, high grade, sedimentary style oxide gold deposit in a near surface environment.”
MAX Resource Corp. has interests in six other mining projects in the United States and Canada. The company has interests in the East Manhattan Wash and Diamond Peak projects in Nevada where it is prospecting for Gold and Zinc. MAX Resource Corp. is also prospecting for Molybdenum at the Ravin Property in Nevada, and Uranium at the C de Baca Project in New Mexico.
In addition, MAX Resource Corp. has interests in the Crowsnest and Howell projects, two gold exploration areas in British Columbia. The Government of British Columbia has recently halted exploration activity in this area.
