Material Technologies, Inc. (MTTG.OB) Technology Gives Drivers Peace of Mind

You may recognize Material Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: MTTG) from its exposure on Fox News, MSNBC and the Morning Show in response to the deadly bridge collapse in Minneapolis last August. The public sought expert opinion on metal fatigue, responsible for the catastrophe, and turned to the company with technology proven to improve public and private safety.

According to the company, fatigue is the result of metal undergoing repeated cyclic stress. Often times, fatigue cracks aren’t evident to the naked eye, which is the main method of inspection for our nation’s bridges. MATECH’s Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor (EFS) is a crack inspection technology, comparable to a medical EKG. The technology has the ability to detect and monitor growing fatigue cracks.

The benefits to this caliber of technology are obvious. EFS increases the safety of the infrastructure (bridge, airplane, ship …) through quick detection; gives a more accurate reading of condition ratings, therefore extending the life and safety of the structure; prioritizes fatigue cracks by determining which need immediate attention and which can be deferred; and allows repairs to be inspected and rated immediately.
