Marini Spirits is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marini Brands, and was formed when the company merged with Margrit Enterprises in April of 2007. The company has one simple goal; building a global company focused on the importation, sale and distribution of ultra-premium spirits and wines. The company has been around since 2001 and, in their brief 7 years of operation, has become well known among the world of luxury lifestyle spirits.
The company’s flagship product, Marani premium Vodka, has received numerous accolades and awards from the spirit community. Most recently for 2008, Marani vodka won the prestigious global Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. Marini vodka also took home the gold medals in 2004 and 2007 from the industry-acclaimed San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The product and awards speak for themselves, but Marini also advertises in publications such as IN Magazine, Scene Magazine, and countless other promotions and events.
The Zartarian family, owners of the brand, are staying true to their Armenian heritage and using the freshest spring water and quality wheat to produce their vodka just as the family always has done. Fine vodka coinsurers can taste the touch of milk and honey that is used during the oak barrel aging process, which gives the vodka its unique taste and aroma. Marani Brands has quickly grown to exporting some of the world’s finest vodka, brandy, cognac and wines, positioning the company to develop into a leader in the worldwide premium spirits industry.
Now that Marini is publicly traded, the company has access to financing from institutional investors, such as Julius Baer’s Black Sea Fund. The additional capital leaves them well positioned to invest in brand development and market penetration. Margrit Eyraud, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marani Brands, said, “Marani Brands represents quality, image and authenticity. With our flagship Marani Vodka leading the way and the backing of our new investors, the future is bright for us to build brands that provide consumers with a meaningful difference and that will deliver growth and value to our shareholders.”
