Global Med Technologies, Inc. (GLOB.OB) is an international medical software company that develops regulated and non-regulated software products and services for the healthcare industry. The company provides blood and laboratory software applications in 20 countries and serves over 1,400 transfusion centers, blood banks and laboratories. Global Med Technologies recently presented at the Noble Financial Capital Markets M.A.D. MAX Equity Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During the presentation, Thomas F Marcinek, the chief operating officer of Global Med Technologies, explained that the company’s goal is to reach $100 million in revenues and become profitable as soon as possible. Management’s plan to achieve these goals is to utilize a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Global Med Technologies is currently finalizing an acquisition in Europe that will allow the company to become profitable and post revenues of $25 to $30 million for fiscal 2008.
Global Med’s 2008 six-month revenues increased 20.5 percent from $7.69 million to $9.26 million and second quarter revenues posted a 17.7 percent gain from $3.97 million in the second quarter of 2007 to $4.67 million. In order to continue to elevate sales growth, the company is exploring opportunities in Asia. The company expects continued double-digit sales growth throughout the remainder of 2008.
