MacroSolve, Inc. (MCVE) Launches New Patent Access Services for Small Business

MacroSolve, a provider of mobile technology intellectual property and app venture mentorship, has expanded its services to offer patent access services to benefit small and medium-sized mobile solutions companies.

MCVE’s business advisory services launched its client portfolio in 2012, managing select mobile app ventures under U.S. patent ‘816.’ The company notes that the value of the ‘816’ patent for the user, whether it be a developer, app development platform, app marketer, or app store, increases in correlation to broader access to the market.

With the launch of the new Patent Access Services offering, MCVE caters specifically to smaller companies looking for patent protection and enforcement expertise. In addition, MCVE’s ‘816’ patent may now, on a transaction basis, be licensed to qualified companies serving app developers. MCVE says these offerings can be structured to fit their client’s business model while creating a passive revenue stream and a new value added service.

“Samsung, Apple, and other large companies are building and protecting their intellectual property at unprecedented levels,” Jim McGill, MacroSolve chairman and CEO of MCVE stated in the press release. “Smaller companies do not have the expertise or the budget to capitalize on their concepts and inventions. Our goal is to provide affordable assistance such that the smaller companies can effectively compete in the IP driven markets.”

MCVE’s U.S. Patent No. 7,822,816 was issued in 2010 to addresses mobile information collection systems spanning all wireless networks, smartphones, tablets, and rugged mobile devices. The patent covers fundamental technology in the mobile application space utilized by numerous companies.
