Location Based Technologies, Inc. announced its PocketFinder(R) device can activate connectivity via the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule of (M2M) machine-to-machine wireless network partner, KORE Telematics.
Location Based Technologies is a California-based company that designs and develops leading-edge personal locator devices and services that incorporate patented, proprietary technologies to enhance and enrich the lives of families globally. Its partner, KORE Telematics, is a leading digital wireless network provider focused exclusively on the expanding machine-to-machine (M2M) communications market.
The PockerFinder(R) family of products uses advanced technology to help families and teams stay connected. Location Based Technologies will actually have three versions of the PocketFinder(R) that will include a version for people, a version for luggage and a unique version that will allow people to stay connected with their pets.
We had a chance to sit down and talk to Jeffrey Swartz, who provides media relations for LBT. Swartz stated that, while the product is not available yet, the company has made the product very easy to use. When asked about the size of the PocketFinder(R), Mr. Swartz said it will be about the size of an Oreo cookie.
The smallness of the PocketFinder(R) is a definite plus in the minds of consumers anticipating its purchase, and convenience clearly stands at the front of the product’s offering, but the biggest asset the PocketFinder(R) will provide is peace of mind.
Location Based Technologies and KORE appear to have formed a winning team and we can expect big things from them in the years to come.
