Lithium Exploration Group issued an operational update on the company’s mineral exploration activity at various properties under review. The company properties are prospective for lithium, potassium, magnesium, and other resources.
Lithium Exploration is currently working on the final draft of the 43-101 Technical Report, which details the level of potential resources on the company’s Valleyview Project in Alberta, Canada. The company is consulting with the regulatory authorities and will publish the technical report after these consultations are complete.
Lithium Exploration recently added additional acreage nearby the company’s leasehold at the Valleyview Project, bringing its total position to 650,000 net acres. The company is targeting Lithium at this project but also believes that other minerals are also present, including potassium, iodine, bromine, magnesium, and calcium.
Lithium Exploration recently decided not to pursue a purchase option on mineral properties located in Argentina. The company reviewed the geological reports obtained from the site and the financial commitments required to explore and develop the Salta Project and decided to focus its resources on other projects in its portfolio. Lithium Exploration was also concerned about the political situation in Argentina and the effect that any instability would have on future operations.
