Li3 Energy Inc., a company seeking business in the litium mining and energy sectors, today announced it has retained SignumBOX to complete a project evaluation report for the Maricunga lithium project in Chile, which Li3 Energy has signed a letter of intent to acquire.
Chile-based SignumBOX utilized a quantitative and objective method to develop the SignumBOX index ranking of more than 70 lithium projects. SigumBOX will conduct the report over five weeks, reviewing the Maricunga’s geological characteristics and comparing them to the Maricunga salar and other salars.
The report will also review Li3 Energy’s ability to develop the project; development of a position analysis of Li3’s Maricunga project with other lithium brine projects; identify principal strengths and weaknesses of the Maricunga project; and Maricunga’s potential synergies with Li3’s Alfredo project.
Luis Saenz, CEO of Li3 Energy CEO, said independent review is important during this phase of project development.
