ITonis Inc., a provider of software that allows broadband internet platform use for television content, is a development stage company quickly finding favor in its acquisition of communications permits in select countries. From a general perspective, the company works to offer television programs and other content “on demand” to televisions and mobile devices over broadband internet. Projected subscribers of these types of services are estimated at 27 million.
Accessing the market and customer development are the primary needs of the company for the moment. ITonics Inc. will be selling to cable systems and telephone companies, companies that may or may not be investigating these types of opportunities themselves. As such, the company has been looking toward China and other countries such as the Czech Republic. Prospects appear positive as negotiations continue with regard to license agreements.
Past the overall picture of broadband TV, the company has developed a small suite of products directed toward this concept. Awareness is perhaps the leading stumbling block at the moment. Customers are aware of the possibilities of internet television but not sure about when it will be available and in what form. By all accounts, the services being offered or contemplated by the company will arrive. The question is; when will they arrive and who will offer them.
