International Stem Cell Corp. (ISCO.OB) Continues Climb by Providing Strategic Update on Skin Care Program

One company that has been steadily evolving is the International Stem Cell Corporation. Located in California, the biotechnology corporation has earned a stellar reputation by focusing on therapeutic and research products. Today, International Stem Cell Corporation took a major step towards enhancing its future with the announcement that they have provided a strategic update on their skin care program.

The International Stem Cell Corporation’s subsidiary Lifeline Skin Care Inc., has achieved positive results in human safety tests of its cosmetic products and is moving forward with arrangements with Cosmetic Enterprises Ltd. for the manufacture of three cosmetic products.

Lifeline Skin is producing cosmetic face products that contain certain extracts from human parthenogenetic stem cells (hpSC) combined with a vitamin complex and other active ingredients. The products utilize a form of nanotechnology to deliver concentrated active ingredients to damaged skin. Laboratory tests show that an active “complex” of stem cell extract has the ability to rejuvenate skin. This combination coupled with the positive tests allow Lifeline Skin to be one step ahead of its competition and has let the young company bring skin care to a higher level. Lifeline Skin plans to launch its cosmetic product line in the late summer or fall of this year.

With the recent success experienced by Lifeline Skin, the young subsidiary of International Stem has begun work with Cosmetic Enterprises. Cosmetic Enterprises is a renowned drug manufacturer with over 30 years of experience in the field. These companies will work together to formulate and package Lifeline Skin’s unique skin care product.

One of the leaders in this industry is Gregory S. Keller, MD, FACS. Dr. Keller was named the 2007 “Specialist of the Year in Facial Cosmetic Surgery” in Strathmore’s “Who’s Who” and is respected in all walks of life. Dr. Keller was quoted as saying, “These positive safety studies in human testing are important, especially considering that preliminary human trial data show that products of the production of International Stem Cell’s parthenogenetic stem cells have significant beneficial effects on the skin and might also provide long term benefits in reducing wrinkles and other visible signs of aging. These results are a significant step forward in making this unique product available to the public.”

With Lifeline Skin bringing International Stem to new heights, the young corporation is starting to catch the attention of investors. Currently, the company is trading in the $2.07 range and has shown potential to evolve into a household name.
