Intelligent Highway Solutions announced it has an agreement with Smith, Dawson & Andrews, a government relations firm based in Washington D.C., to receive additional support in exploring and executing industry contracts.
Underscoring its business ties with Honeywell International to bring its California buildings to code with Title 24 regulations, the company plans to use its new partnership to gain market share within other municipal, state and federal buildings with similar needs. Through its master distribution agreement with SCS Lighting Systems, the company will offer its lighting solution technology to help businesses integrate energy-efficient lighting fixtures and bulbs in Federal buildings.
Devon Jones, Chief Executive Officer, stated, “We have the tools necessary to provide the solutions, and our relationship with Smith, Dawson and Andrews gives us the conduit to make the necessary connections at the Federal level to introduce our company to the right decision makers in D.C. and other municipal and state agencies. This type of retrofit is the same as IHSI has undertaken with Honeywell in California.”
Industry insiders note the SCS lighting fixtures and lamp replacements have documented track records of success in reducing energy consumption up to 80% in buildings. When energy savings are added, installation of these lighting systems are said to increase the appraised value of the building and offer a healthier environment to work in.
