Integrated Environmental Technologies Ltd. (IEVM.OB) and Benchmark Research & Technologies Inc. today issued a press release to introduce BRT’s Excelyte, a powerful “green” disinfecting solution that efficiently eliminates dangerous microorganisms on contact.
IET focuses on the manufacture and distribution of EcaFlo equipment, devices that produce pH neutral biocide solution. Since Excelyte is manufactured with IET’s EcaFlo equipment, BRT was able to register Excelyte with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under IET’s registration of EcaFlo.
In an effort to establish brand identity, the two companies together announced the release of Excelyte as BRT’s trade name for the disinfecting solution, which is 100 times more powerful than bleach. Though it is highly efficient, the fluid is harmless to humans and animals, and for this reason is applicable for high traffic facilities such as schools, hospitals, athletic facilities and more.
Excelyte is also registered as an antimicrobial against MRSA, or Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, commonly known as staph. MRSA can be fatal and is resistant to a variety of antibiotics, making it hard to treat. Additionally, Excelyte is USDA-approved for food preparation and processing facilities, as well as FDA-approved for meatpacking and processing plants.
In response to today’s press release, shares of IET surged 10 percent in today’s late trading.
