B2Digital is currently perfecting their technologies to offer IPTV. IPTV is a system where digital television is delivered over a network infrastructure such as a broadband connection. This type of delivery is often called “TV over Internet” or “Internet Television”.
IPTV is ready to sky rocket. In a report from Infonetics, it is stated that IPTV will produce $44 billion dollars in Service Revenue and have 53.7 subscribers by 2009. This is a 13,000% increase from 2004.
There are several advantages by using IPTV instead of traditional local cable services. In a traditional setup data is limited and the volume of content is restricted, but IPTV is flexible and can always expand to meet a higher demand. Other advantages include packaging IPTV with other services such as high speed Internet or VoIP, and its ability to bring a more interactive experience to the viewer.
