IMF Director Warns of Further Economic Turbulence

In a statement given this Wednesday, director general of the International Monetary Fund Dominique Strauss-Kahn expressed his concern for the worsening conditions of the global economy. He warned of added troubles in an already crippled financial arena, commenting: “The consequences for some financial institutions are still in front of us. We have to expect that there may be in the coming weeks and coming months other financial institutions with some problems.” In the opinion of Mr. Strauss-Kahn, world economies should rebound in 2009.
