iMedicor (VMCI.OB) Strategic Alliance with USA MCO Will Create a HIPAA Compliant National Health Information Exchange, National Healthcare Communications Network

iMedicor, www.imedicor.com – providers of the only HIPAA-compliant online environment that constitutes a service-rich solution for HIE (health information exchange), announced a strategic alliance with the US’s biggest and most extensive privately-held preferred provider organization, USA Managed Care Organization, to create a novel NHCN (National Healthcare Communications Network).

This powerful new national HIE system constitutes a perfect solution for satisfying “meaningful use” regulations, and will be publicized as such via a joint awareness campaign directed at physicians within the existing network and will focus on the enrollment of USA MCO’s 350k+ physicians, practices and healthcare providers (representing almost half of all practicing physicians in the US) into iMedicor’s full-spectrum portal.

CEO of VMCI, Fred Zolla, beamed at the selection by USA MCO in helping them to create “the nation’s first HIPAA compliant National Healthcare Communication Network”, and attributed the selection to months of tightly integrated effort between the two companies.

Zolla called the new system a major step toward the goal of creating a truly interoperable National Health Information Exchange (NHIE), which would serve as a conduit for migrating from paper to electronic medical records.

Chairman and CEO of USA MCO, George Bogle, called it an exceptional opportunity of significant value to the healthcare community as a whole, citing planned incentivisation strategies for participating physicians via Medicaid/Medicare, and the overall expense reductions of electronic administration/processing, as leading to organic benefits for the entire healthcare community.

Bogle projects that the majority of their physicians/practices will join the National Health Communications Network (NHCN) within the next six months.

This alliance truly is a major step towards Governmental healthcare initiatives seeking to affect a transition to a nationwide electronic data system for personal health information.

The joint NHCN will be the backbone for secure exchange of medical data while addressing aforementioned “meaningful use” regulations stipulated for information exchange.

The NHCN is designed to evolve alongside the NHIN’s (National Health Information Network) Direct protocols and will utilize its Connect interoperability suite of tools.

As a whole, the system represents an efficiency upgrade from a clinical, operational, and quality standpoint which also affords the potential to qualify for transition stimulus funding.

With unlimited use of the system clocking in at just $19.95/month per physician, and associated providers/staff connected to the original subscription being charged at a discount rate, the NHCN is very affordable.

Below is an overview of all the advantages this new system offers:

• Simplified, HIPAA-compliant and highly secure messaging between parties

• An NHIE that will help transform the entire sector

• An Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Health IT Standards Committee recognized discreet data exchange platform

• The ability to quickly build communities or conduct patient-specific peer collaboration as well as the expansion of referral networks

• Seamless access to educational materials and resources, certified CME (Continuing Medical Education) as well as skill-level and product/device-specific resources
