Hydrogen Power, Inc. (HYDP.OB) Develops New Technology

Hydrogen Power, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: HYDP), announced today a new technology it has developed for mixing AlumiFuel(TM). This proprietary fuel drastically improves the performance and the cost effectiveness in target applications.

Hydrogen Power, Inc.’s new mixing technology creates a quicker and different reaction than mixing technologies used prior to the new development. This new technology has made possible the 60% increase in hydrogen generation yields and the 45% reduction in fuel production costs specified in a December 3, 2007 news release for Hydrogen Power, Inc.

AlumiFuel(TM) powder is used to fill cartridges and then the cartridges are dropped into a reactor. When water is added, the result of this chemical reaction will be a generation of high purity hydrogen and steam. The created hydrogen and/or steam can be fed into fuel cells, turbine-based power conversion modules, or they can be fed directly into inflatable devices.

There is a provisional patent application filed for the new technology by Hydrogen Power, Inc. and this is being considered a separate invention and is the property of Hydrogen Power, Inc. This new development is the technology the company is using in all applications being pursued with partners and customers.

Hydrogen Power, Inc.’s Director of Business Development, Ben Larson, comment: “As the company moves into the hardware engineering development stage for product applications with selected partners, the new mixing breakthrough makes HPI’s AlumiFuel(TM)-based technology highly competitive for certain portable, stationary power and underwater systems.”
