The Hydrogen Fuel Injection system is marketed through a network of certified installation centers in the US, Canada, and around the world.
Hydrogen Hybrid’s HFI technology is installed as an add-on to diesel and gasoline engines. The company’s technology is based on electrolysis with their units separating water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen and oxygen are then vented directly into the air intake of the engine. Adding hydrogen greatly improves combustion in the engine, with significant environmental and financial benefits.
The company’s technology significantly reduces a wide variety of emissions such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide, while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption. This HFI technology has earned the dominant position as the world’s most widely-used on-board electrolysers. The product is the first emission-control technology to receive “Environmental Technology Verification” (ETV) by the Canadian government, and the first hydrogen technology to receive ETV recognition anywhere in the world.
Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies continues to roll their product out globally. On June 23, 2008, the company announced that a letter of intent had been signed with EUROMAC, an Irish firm marketing environmental products in Ireland, UK, and the rest of the European Union (EU). The letter of intent calls for an initial order of 1750 units for a total value of approximately $27 million. This announcement from the company follows similar announcements over the past year regarding agreements in Korea, Portugal, and Lithuania.
