Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYHY) has retained exclusive worldwide rights to sell its Hydrogen Fuel Injection (HFI) technology to original equipment manufacturers (OEM). It also has non-exclusive rights to sell the HFI to worldwide after-market segments. In this era of uncertainty, with the pricing of traditional fuel costs, the HFI technology provides consumers with a viable option.
The HFI technology is a patented process developed by Canadian Hydrogen Energy Company (CHEC). The on-demand HFI system uses electrical power, either 12V or 110V, to split distilled water to produce hydrogen and oxygen gas. Both gases are then injected directly into the air intake of a normal combustion engine. The hydrogen acts to alter the combustion profile of the traditional fuel so that the chemical energy released is at a greater efficiency level with lower emissions. Since the chemical energy translates to increased mechanical energy, the engine is able to lower fuel consumption and dramatically reduce exhaust emissions, like carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitric oxide and nitric dioxide. Therefore, the HFI technology is able to boost the power generated in a normal vehicle engine.
Hydrogen Hybrid is focused on the integration of the HFI technology into the OEM engineering cycle. The company will develop trial data on specific applications and work with engine manufacturers on methods to integrate the HFI technology into the engine design. Hydrogen Hybrid will be able to show how the HFI technology can reduce fuel consumption and lower harmful emission levels. The latest market tests show a savings of between 10 and 30 percent in fuel consumption.
The HFI is not a newly developed technology. The system has been perfected over the past 30 years with a variety of third-party testing, and over 60 million miles of use in transport trucks, buses, and ambulances in North America. The HFI system has even received the Environmental Technology Verification, the highest environmental standard in Canada and the United States. With this level of testing and approval, it appears that Hydrogen Hybrid has a vehicle system that consumers seriously need to consider.
