Hybrid Technologies announced this morning that it has partnered with the automotive retailing giant, Dupont Registry, and will be featuring its 2007 all-lithium Mini Cooper at the 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The Mini Cooper has attracted the attention of famous Holly Wood actors, and has also been highlighted in Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. The vehicle is powered by a 100% electric drive system that uses advanced lithium-ion battery units and a superior BMS (brake management system).
The all electric car has also been used by NASA as part of an ongoing relationship with Hybrid and the Federal Space Agency. The Mini Cooper can reach speeds of over 80mph on a range of about 120 miles on a 5 hour charge. The car was specifically developed for inter-urban driving, although the company also has a long range city car in production.
