Last week, the Company announced completing their proprietary Bio-Gard wall lamination at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. An HWI interior specialty application used on USP 797-compliant pharmacies, the Bio-Gard Wall lamination, is part of the New Pharmacy Renovation project at the facility. HWI Global was chosen for this renovation by Nadaskay Kopelson, a distinguished healthcare architectural firm in New York City and New Jersey.
Last Friday, HWI Global, Inc. reported a Letter of Intent to form a Joint Venture with Enigma Concepts, a technical research and development company. Enigma Concepts plans to work with HWI Global developing a new, innovative lighting solution with enhanced scotopic value. This represents a ‘green solution’ to traditional fluorescent and incandescent lighting. The expectation is that this long-life LED lighting system will be a cleaner, more efficient, better quality light than the most advanced CFL and T-S fluorescents.
Yesterday, HWI Global, Inc. announced that they have been contracted to provide USP 797 consultation and interior fit and finish services for the new Central Pharmacy at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This is the second HWI Global USP 797 award from UNC in 2011. The Company will renovate the Main Pharmacy in the same building as the Nuclear Pharmacy project announced March 18, 2011. Interior Architecture & Design (IDeA) of Raleigh, North Carolina, a growing architectural firm, chose HWI Global, Inc. for the project.
