HotOtc Featured Company: Virtual Ed Link Inc. (VRED.PK) Gains Entry to New York State’s Educational Information Technology Buying Program

As the world’s school systems become even more dangerous, technology is offering new ways to combat potential violence. Identifying perpetrator patterns and people that may fit them has become the thrust of an increasingly widespread security effort within school systems across the country. It is felt that if these patterns can catch up with potential threats, the threat may be able to be stopped beforehand and with little confrontation. Where the technology takes the world is unknown, but the systems do need to be put in place if loss of life is to be prevented and a more stable learning environment is to be maintained.

Virtual Ed Link Inc., a provider of information transfer systems, offers customizable communications software systems to institutions and other organizations. Currently, the company is focusing its software systems in the educational marketplace with increasing successes. In its most recent success, the company has been granted entry into the State of New York’s main educational information technology purchasing program. This program, referred to as the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (and further; Corporative Services Agreements Service), allows the company into over 80% of the state’s educational school districts purchasing programs, and more importantly New York States vast educational budget.

The company’s current product works to offer school districts access to information about all individuals within their system. The major intent is security oriented so that potential threats can be identified before there is an unfortunate incident. Generally speaking, the company’s system is structured around a solid base product that lets it be customizable to any particular set of needs that an educational system may have. This flexibility offers the company many other opportunities as it begins to get its products established within educational systems across the United States and abroad. Corporate campuses are not all that different from educational institutions as are research facilities and other governmental bureaucratic structures.

Another by-product of the company’s flagship products’ flexibility is that it can be updated easily. As new security events offer further data points from new security cracks in the existing system an updated, more efficient system can be applied. Put more bluntly, when a person causes an event like a shooting spree, the background of the individual can become a data point for the system to identify. If this ability is transferred to other applications, the possible customer base becomes larger than it already is. In an increasingly unsecure world, Virtual Ed Link Inc. may have developed a prototype for something the world would rather not have but needs.
