Hipcricket, Inc. (HIPP) Announces the Promotion of Mobile Industry Veteran David Hostetter to Chief Technology Officer

Leader in mobile engagement and analytics, Hipcricket announced their recent promotion of David W. Hostetter from senior vice president of engineering to chief technology officer (CTO). A mobile marketing and advertising veteran for more than twenty years, Hostetter is an innovator whose passion and deep expertise for emerging technologies is evident, as he holds an extensive career portfolio of disruptive and profitable product offerings that have generated an uninterrupted flow of highly valuable, issued patents.

In his new role as CTO, Hostetter is to be heavily involved in leading Hipcricket’s research and development initiatives, including the recent bringing in of Google Glass support on Hipcricket’s AD LIFE® platform. He will lead essential development initiatives in order to improve how brands interact with customers through real-time data analytics, which will deliver personalized content to mobile devices.

With 20 years of mobile advertising and marketing executive experience, Hostetter has been at the forefront of big data, digital media and machine scalability at international companies, of which include Microsoft, MOD Systems and Loudeye, which was acquired by Nokia. Prior to Hipcricket, Hostetter served as CTO of Fabric Worldwide, a leading data management platform, where he oversaw a global team that built optimization and data tools for marketers to manage their digital campaigns across a number of channels.
