Hemp, Inc. (HEMP) Increases Q1 2013 Revenue by 4,785% vs. Q4 2012

Hemp, Inc.is a supplier of services, products, and information related to the medical marijuana industry. The company today reported it has increased its first-quarter revenue by 4,785 percent to $426,321 as compared to fourth-quarter revenues. The main contributor to sales was the company’s Nutraceutical division, which features the company’s HerbaGenix™ brand of all-natural herbal products that contain hemp and hemp extracts.

After generating a steady sales stream for its hemp-based Nutraceutical division, Hemp says it will now focus on strengthening its other divisions by growing advertising revenue from severalWebsites and its industry consulting company, The Industrial Hemp and Medical Marijuana Consulting Company.

Among other products, Hempalso plans to sell Hemp adobe bricks along with signature hemp jeans, cargo pants and a line of hemp and natural fibre clothing.

“We’ve met our goal of becoming a development stage company in the first quarter of 2013 with very strong sales. This goes far beyond proof of concept in demonstrating the demand for our high quality, extremely effective hemp-based nutraceuticals in the market place,” Hemp CEO Bruce Perlowin stated in the press release. “We expect consistent increases in sales for some time to come.”
