HearAtLast Holdings, Inc., an operator of hearing clinics that specialize in the sale of digital hearing aids and hearing protection products, has partnered with Wal-Mart to revolutionize the highly fragmented $3.7 billion hearing services industry.
HearAtLast “Hearing Stores” are co-located inside select Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club locations throughout Canada and offer customers complimentary hearing tests and access to a wide array of name brand hearing aids and hearing protection products. One of HearAtLast’s goals is to remove the stigma often associated with older, and highly visible hearing aids by offering consumers state-of-the-art, open fit, digital hearing aids that are virtually invisible when worn.
HearAtLast has formed strategic alliances in the hearing health industry with Siemens, Sonomax, and Sebotek to offer its customers products from brand name manufacturers at affordable prices. With 15 operating clinics located in Wal-Marts and Sam’s Clubs, management plans to add up to 50 new clinics by the end of 2008.
Harbinger Research initiated coverage on HearAtLast in October of 2007 rating the company a strong speculative buy with a target price of US $7.21.
